[ONLINE VIRTUAL] Clinical Supervision Basic and Advanced in Mental Health and Substance Use Counseling [April, 11, 2025]

DESCRIPTION: Attendees will learn basic skills of clinical supervision beginning with contracting, informed consent, supervisee skills evaluation, etc. We'll move to exploring types of clinical supervision and the basic format for case presentation. Both basic and advanced clinical supervision will be examined through the lense of developing a co-vision between supervisor and supervisee.
Advanced clinical supervision skills will explore the most recent evidenced based curriculum psycho-education such as Mindfulness Based CBT, ACT, Neuroscience of Trauma, and more. Lastly, we'll explore contemplative clinical supervision which invites supervisees into a place of introspection concerning their counseling work.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Develop basic skills and forms of clinical supervision in creating a supportive relationship with the supervisee.
2. Develop advanced skills in exploring the most up-to-date evidenced based curriculum to support supervisees in expanding their knowledge and skill base.
3. Develop and practice contemplative clinical supervision skills through the lens of a co-vision.
