DESCRIPTION:

Participants will identify and learn about the most prevalent personality disorders, their symptom presentation, and how to choose a CBT treatment curriculum workbook to guide their work with the client. The curriculum will offer examination of the intersection of mental health and substance use, co-occurring diagnosis.

Participants will define and discuss the cause and presentations of the most common personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and Antisocial Personality Disorder in MH and SA clients. For counselors that may not have co-occurring treatment skills in their scope of practice or feel they need more clinical training and experience, referral to another counselor to treat the client is encouraged. 

OBJECTIVES:

1.     Define and discuss the most prevalent personality disorders and how they intersect with mental health and substance use.

2.     Explore CBT/Mindfulness-Based CBT skills curriculum to address personality disorders in adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders such as substance use.

No refunds are made due to technology problems resulting from participants audiovisual equipment or personal internet failures. Arriving more than 20 minutes late to a virtual training may prevent receipt of full workshop hours.

Replacement of Certificates of Attendance:

Participants will receive their Certificate of Attendance within 48-72 hours of the ACCT training completion. It will be sent to the email that you utilized to register. We encourage you to download and or print them immediately upon receipt. Request for replacement copies of certificates will be $10 per copy.
