Description:

Mindfulness based CBT is a 3rd wave CBT format that involves the use of mindfulness to develop SKILLS in emotional regulation, interruption of impulsive responses when triggered, and the development of skills for shifting cognitions and behaviors. Case studies in both mental health and substance use will be utilized. Skills will be practiced in breakout sessions.

Objectives:

  1. Develop an understanding of how 3rd wave CBT differs from other CBT models by incorporating mindfulness skills into your counseling the very next day.

  2. Learn and practice 6 CBT mindfulness skills to teach and utilize with clients.

  3. Identify evidenced based curriculum and workbooks using Mindfulness-Based CBT with clients such as Mindfulness and the 12 Steps by Stewart, Mindfulness Workbook for Addiction by Williams and Craft, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) by Harris, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by Linehan.

No refunds are made due to technology problems resulting from participants audiovisual equipment or personal internet failures. Arriving more than 20 minutes late to a virtual training may prevent receipt of full workshop hours.

Replacement of Certificates of Attendance:

Participants will receive their Certificate of Attendance within 48-72 hours of the ACCT training completion. It will be sent to the email that you utilized to register. We encourage you to download and or print them immediately upon receipt. Request for replacement copies of certificates will be $10 per copy.
