DESCRIPTION: Participants will learn and practice the 12 Core Functions of a mental health and substance abuse counselor. This is a beginning and or advanced training exploring definition, skills, and protocol for each function. This training is in preparation for both honing the counselor’s skills as well as preparation for state certification and licensure exams.

We’ll cover the core functions of screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, psycho-education/client education, case management, counseling, record-keeping/clinical notes, crisis intervention, case consultation, and referral.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Identify and define the 12 Core Functions of the counselor.

2. Develop skills in specific core functions.

3. Identify resources for exploring state definitions of each core function.

4. Practice skills in real time with peers in the profession.

We offer a 100% refund for requests made inside 48 hours after the initial booking. After 48 hours no refund or credits are given.

No refunds are made due to technology problems resulting from participants audiovisual equipment or personal internet failures. Arriving more than 20 minutes late to a virtual training may prevent receipt of full workshop hours.

Replacement of Certificates of Attendance:

Participants will receive their Certificate of Attendance within 48-72 hours of the ACCT training completion. It will be sent to the email that you utilized to register. We encourage you to download and or print them immediately upon receipt. Request for replacement copies of certificates will be $10 per copy.
